OUR HEALTH AND FITNESS CLASSES
These are some of the types of workouts you could expect to do at PhuketFit Health & Fitness retreats.

A bootcamp style session without the Sergeant Major. You’ll work your way through a series of obstacles and exercises including tire flips, ladder climbs, weighted ball throws and battle-rope slams. If there’s something you would prefer not to do, that’s fine… we’ll just find an alternative for you! It’s fun, but challenging fitness at its best, in the gym or... at the beach!
Classes and schedule q&A
Yes. PhuketFit runs activities 7 days per week – we’re one of the only fitness retreats in Thailand that never takes a day off in the schedule. This means that from Monday through Sunday, you’ll have a full slate of workouts, classes, and activities to participate in.
Our fitness team is extremely qualified and experienced. All PhuketFit personal trainers are required to have at minimum a Level 3 certification (or international equivalent) in personal training. (For context, Level 3 under the Europe-based REPS system indicates an advanced PT who can work with individuals of varying needs, including special populations.) Many of our coaches have additional specialties and certifications – from strength and conditioning to yoga to Muay Thai.
Beyond certifications on paper, our trainers have years of hands-on coaching experience around the world. They undergo regular training and development to stay up-to-date on the latest fitness science and techniques. We carefully select our team to ensure they are not only knowledgeable, but also passionate, motivating, and understanding of each guest’s individual journey. When you train with us, you can be confident that you’re being guided by true professionals who know how to get results in a safe and effective way.
Yes, all our coaches speak English. PhuketFit’s team is a perfect balance of Thai and International – we have trainers from English-speaking countries (like the U.S. and U.K) as well as Thai trainers who have excellent English proficiency.
For the few staff who might not be fully fluent, English is still a common language and you will be able to communicate just fine. If you ever have trouble understanding something, just let the trainer know and they’ll be happy to clarify or even demonstrate to bridge any language gap.
We intentionally keep our group sizes moderate to ensure personalized attention. At full capacity, PhuketFit hosts around 24 to 30 guests in total at any one time. This creates a great social vibe without feeling overcrowded.
For training sessions, we cap most group classes to about 12–14 participants maximum. Often the classes are even smaller, especially during non-peak times. We want our coaches to be able to watch and help everyone. In some sessions, we might split into two groups based on fitness level or experience (for example, a Level 1 group for beginners and a Level 2 group for more advanced). This way, each person gets the appropriate challenge and support. Even when classes are mixed-level, we structure them so that no one feels lost in a large crowd.
Because we limit numbers, you can expect to get plenty of face time with the trainers. They will learn your name, understand your goals, and correct your form as needed. It’s almost like having personal training within a group environment. If ever a class does grow beyond our ideal number (for instance, if a lot of people want to join a particular session), we make adjustments – such as adding another instructor or creating additional class times – to maintain quality.
No – you can arrive and start any day that suits you. Our programs run continuously 7 days a week, 365 days a year (we only close for 2 days during the year: January 1st for New Year’s Day, and April 13th for Songkran, the Thai New Year water festival).
This means there is no fixed “start date” or orientation day of the week – we integrate new arrivals into the program seamlessly. Whether you show up on a Monday, a Saturday, or any day, we’ll get you settled in and you can jump right into the schedule. Just let us know your planned arrival date and time so we can prepare for your check-in and airport pickup.
Each 7-day program includes 2 wellness vouchers, usually 1 massage and 1 PT/nutrition consult. You can mix and match as you like—even use both for massages.
Massages are 60 minutes (Thai or oil) at our trusted partner spa across the road, perfect for recovery after workouts. Extra massages are affordable (≈400–600 THB/hour) and can be booked via reception or directly at the spa.
We recommend booking ahead during busy weeks to secure your preferred times. Most guests enjoy a massage on rest days or after tough sessions—recovery is just as important as training.
